CHARLIE KIRK KEPT THE SABBATH (SHABBAT-7TH DAY)

This week a great man who honored truth and debate above all earthly things was taken from us too soon. What made him a great Christian? He engaged people to seek the truth. He knew people innately should love the truth and would want to continually pursue the truth. He went out to seek those having a difficult time finding the truth and shone a great light through engagement and debate.

Unfortunately, many Christians have lost this “first love”.

Revelation 2:4, Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

Many will say this first love is Christ or God…but it isn’t. It is “truth”.

2 Thessalonians 2:10, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

I’ve got news for you…you can’t be a Christian and reject truths. If you do…you are undermining the very foundation of your faith. Charlie knew this…and you should too.

There are many people out there who are good intentioned and hold incorrect and inaccurate beliefs about what they think the Bible says. Charlie went out continually to discuss those issues with people everywhere. He held truth in its correct position and challenged all believers and non-believers to aspire to the truth. 

Many Christians could do better by seeking out actual truths and not presenting inaccurate beliefs about what the Bible actually says. Doing so would lower the hurdles that many nonbelievers see to aspiring to being a Christian.

Charlie knew this about the Seventh Day Sabbath. He calls it the Shabbat in this video on YOUTUBE. I think you will find his take to be enlightening. In fact, he says he loves the Shabbat so much he’s written a book on the topic.

Why is this important? Charlie thought one of the highest goals of a Christian was to pursue Biblical and Natural Truth. To be unwilling to challenge our own assumptions and what we’ve been taught was an unacceptable position for a true believer in Jesus Christ. His challenge still stands to come out of the hustle and bustle of this earthly world and remember God’s commandments highlighted by the one that will help you keep the rest of the other 10 Commandments… “Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it holy”. 

Exodus 20:8, Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

I’m going to miss hearing fresh perspective from Charlie Kirk. He loved the truth and the truth will set us free. Maybe we should take a moment and see why Charlie loved the Shabbat (7th Day Sabbath) above all other days.

What you may not know is that in the End-time, Elijah was prophesied to return before the Day of the Lord to achieve one purpose for ALL believers.

Malachi 4:4, Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. 5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

I’ve got news for you…this prophecy is not just for Israel – it is for all believers that fear the Name of the Lord, Jesus Christ (Yeshua the Messiah).

Malachi tells us who this warning and hope is for.

Malachi 4:2, But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

It is for believers in Jesus Christ…to remember the Law of Moses!

This should tell you that in the end…much will have been forgotten by Christians and needs to be remembered.
