THERE WILL NEVER BE A PEACE TREATY BETWEEN ISRAEL & ISLAM, THE ANTICHRIST/BEAST OR THE UN

How does Christianity stumble into the end-times and never realize the time is now? By having all the wrong assumptions about what is going to happen. We’ve been told for over a hundred years that Israel will form a peace treaty with the Beast/Antichrist, which will allow them to restart sacrifices on the temple mount. Your favorite prophecy teachers have taught you a lie. Hopefully by mistake.

All of this conjecture is based upon a poorly translated version of Daniel 9:24-27. This is the single scripture, combined with a whole host of assumptions that are un-scriptural, that cause the modern church to think an imminent peace treaty will come forth between Israel and the Beast/Antichrist or the UN that will start off the 7-year Tribulation of Daniel’s end-time prophecy. The old teaching says that this peace treaty allowing the restart of Jewish sacrifices will be broken by the Antichrist after 3 ½ years where he will invade Jerusalem and cause the daily sacrifices to cease.

What these prophecy teachers won’t tell you is that all of this scenario is unscriptural. Why? This is the typical translation that many prophecy teachers use.

Daniel 9:27, And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determinedshall be poured upon the desolate. (King James)

This gives the impression that Israel and the Antichrist/Beast or the UN agree to a covenant and the Antichrist breaks it after 3 ½ years. But is this accurate? No. Let’s look at a better translation.

Daniel 9:24, Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and for your holy city for putting an end to the transgression, for making an end of sin, for forgiving iniquity, for bringing in everlasting justice, for setting the seal on vision and prophet, and for anointing the Especially Holy Place. 25 Know, therefore, and discern that seven weeks [of years] will elapse between the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Yerushalayim until an anointed prince comes. It will remain built for sixty-two weeks [of years], with open spaces and moats; but these will be troubled times. 26 Then, after the sixty-two weeks, Mashiach will be cut off and have nothing. The people of a prince yet to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary, but his end will come with a flood, and desolations are decreed until the war is over. 27 He will make a strong covenant with leaders for one week [of years]. For half of the week, he will put a stop to the sacrifice and the grain offering. On the wing of detestable things the desolator will come and continue until the already decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator. (Complete Jewish Bible)

Notice the first “7 weeks and 62 weeks” determine the timing of the coming of Jesus Christ (Yeshua). It describes Him being killed. Then it goes on to describe a different prince who is yet to come in the future at the end-time. Our time. It says this “prince yet to come” will destroy Jerusalem and the sanctuary (known as the Abomination of Desolation). This “prince yet to come” (Antichrist/Beast) will make a strong covenant with leaders for “one week” (of years) and for half of that time he will work to stop the sacrifices. This lines up perfectly with the Beast waging war against the saints for 42 months.

Revelation 13:1, And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

So, who is this “prince yet to come” making a covenant within the context of Daniel 9:24-27? It’s not with Israel, it is with the ten kings that give their power to the Beast and fight against the saints for the first half of the tribulation (3 ½ years). He is irate over Israel’s sanctuary and the renewal of sacrifices. He unites with these 10 kings to cause the cessation of the sacrifices. This is not a picture of Israel having a peace treaty with the Antichrist and being betrayed after 3 ½ years resulting in the cancellation of the covenant and the cessation of daily sacrifices. This is a picture of Israel having won victory over its enemies within Israel and having purged the temple mount so that sacrifices can commence. There is no peace treaty…it is a victory over Israel’s enemies. 

The Beast (ten kings) is incensed and joins together as a consequence of this great victory and wounding one of the heads of the Beast. This is their own peace treaty…not Israel’s. They are motivated to set aside their national differences for the sole purpose of fighting against Israel for 3 ½ years (42 months), which is the first half of the tribulation. Mid-Tribulation, the Beast successfully invades Israel, kills the Two Witnesses, takes over the temple mount, and Israel flees into the wilderness. She is protected by God for the next 3 ½ years. 

For those prophecy teachers who think the UN or the Islamic nations will come to any kind of a peace treaty with Israel dividing the land any more than it currently is are sadly mistaken. Israel will win a victory and will have the space to restart sacrifices. This will incense and unify the Islamic nations and restore the Ottoman Islamic Empire (the Beast) with the unified goal of purging the temple mount of Jewish sacrifices.

There will be only one peace treaty and that is between the 10 kings that join the Islamic Beast Empire. Israel will have nothing to do with it. What is their singular goal? To end Jewish sacrifices. We’ve been taught that this is the moment of betrayal of Israel’s peace treaty either with the UN or the Beast/Antichrist. It’s not, it is simply the stated completion of the goal and reason for the peace treaty that unites the Beast Empire in the first place. There is no betrayal of Israel. She never joins any peace treaty. 

Where have Christian prophecy teachers gotten it wrong?

· They have assumed the Daniel 9 covenant is between Israel and someone else.

· They have assumed that the Revelation scripture detailing the measuring of the temple indicates that the temple mount will have both Jews and Muslims allowing each to do their thing because of a peace treaty. The context actually connects this “court” with the time period of the holy city being tread under for 42 months. Is this the 42 months before or after the Abomination of Desolation? It would seem unlikely that this “treading” is not connected to the Beast’s victory over Israel mid-tribulation and thereafter. After all the reference is to the whole “holy city” being “tread under”, not just part of the city. If it were only part of the city, you could say this is a current picture of divided Jerusalem with Jews on one side and Muslims on the other. Either way the language “without the temple” may indeed be referring to outside the temple complex and not necessarily the scriptural “court of the gentiles” on the temple mount.

Revelation 11:1, And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

· There is also no stated assertion that this measuring has to do with sacrifices occurring on the temple mount with Jews on one side and Muslims on another.

· They have failed to reconcile how Israel has a peace treaty with the Beast/Antichrist or the UN and at the same time the Beast is waging war against the “saints” (Israel) for 42 months before the Two Witnesses are killed mid-tribulation and Israel goes into the wilderness for another 42 months when the Lamb speaking as a Dragon is revealed. I think it is impossible to say these 42 months are the second half of the tribulation when the context appears to be saying that the Beast (empire) is waging war because they are incensed about the name of YHWH (Yehova) and His sanctuary.  Israel having His sanctuary implies sacrifices are also occurring. Why would the Beast be upset about this after the first half of the tribulation and not before? The Abomination of Desolation happens mid-tribulation, which causes the cessation of those sacrifices and the revealing of the Antichrist (False Prophet) in the Sanctuary of God on the Temple mount mid-trib. The Beast is unlikely to be ranting about those topics after having acquired the Temple Mount for itself.

· Also keep in mind prophecy teachers have mis-identified the characters of Revelation. The Beast is not a man. The Beast is not the Antichrist. The Beast is an empire of ten kings.  

Revelation 13:4, And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

We must also keep in mind that “the many” described in the King James version of Daniel 9:24-27 is described as the Beast union of ten kings later in Daniel 11.

Daniel 11:13, For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches. 14 And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south: also the robbers of thy people shall exalt themselves to establish the vision; but they shall fall.

This peace treaty is not with Israel. It is between the 10 Kings of the “many” or the “multitude” of the Beast Empire.

Daniel 7:7, After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

Notice this is the multitude and the many that are with the Antichrist when he causes the Abomination of Desolation Mid-Tribulation. Daniel is not describing a man or the Antichrist. He is describing the “Beast” of Revelation which is an empire…not a man. The Antichrist is not revealed until 3 ½ years into the tribulation at the trampling of Jerusalem and the temple mount. In fact, Daniel goes so far as to clarify this is not a “he” or a “him”. 

Daniel describes this Beast as an “it”. The Beast is an “empire” coming out of the sea which is biblically typified as a “multitude” or a “man” …as in a “sea of people”. It’s a common usage describing a grouping of people. This is why the Lamb speaking as a Dragoon in Revelation 13:11 is not described as coming out of a “sea” but is described as coming up from the “land”. This lamb speaking as a dragon is an individual person…he is the Antichrist who is called the False Prophet.

Daniel makes it very clear… the Beast is a Kingdom.

Daniel 7:17, These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

Daniel 7:23, Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. 24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. 25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Think about it. The Beast empire forms and speaks against the sanctuary for 42 months, wages war against the saints (Israel), and then mid-tribulation conquers Jerusalem, causes the daily sacrifices to cease, kills the Two Witnesses, and Israel is given into the Beast’s hand for 42 months after this event.

There is no peace treaty with Israel at the start of sacrifices before the commencement of Daniel’s 70th week. The peace treaty is amongst the “many”, the “multitude” of the ten Kings that form the Beast Empire. The wounding of one of its heads is likely the current events happening in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Iran in the fall of 2023. This event frees Israel from its nearby enemies through victory and wounding one of the Beast’s heads…not through a peace treaty. The outcome is the Islamic nations make peace with one another with the stated goal of purging the temple mount, trampling the Holy city of Jerusalem, and causing the cessation of daily sacrifices that are shortly to commence. 

So those who are teaching some peace treaty with the UN or the Beast or the Antichrist or a “confirming” of an existing covenant fail to comprehend the scriptures show Israel’s victory in this war. Any supposed need to divide up the land any more than it already has been so that Israel can do sacrifices with the indulgence of the Islamic nations because of a peace treaty is unscriptural. 

Scripture clearly shows the Antichrist (who is the False Prophet-Lamb speaking as Dragon) does not appear until the Beast Empire will have warred with the saints for 42 months before the Abomination of Desolation. 2 Thessalonians confirms the Antichrist is not identified until the Abomination of Desolation mid-trib. So, any supposed peace treaty with Israel at the start of the 7-year Tribulation or at the First Seal violates the rule of 2 Thessalonians. Why? It would identify the Antichrist (False Prophet) 3 ½ years too soon.

2 Thessalonians 2:1, Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

There is no rapture or coming of Christ before the revealing of the Antichrist (False Prophet) mid-tribulation. Do NOT let anyone tell you otherwise. There will be no peace treaty between Israel and Islam. The western Christian nations and their state departments are trying to force a self-fulfilling prophecy on Israel that is based on an incorrect understanding of the scriptures.
