Turkey makes moves in Syria…Prophetically Significant?

This newsletter has been telling you for over a year that the events in Gaza, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria were all about to happen and are portrayed as being immediately “before the Day of the Lord”. The destruction of Damascus is scripturally depicted as happening overnight and as the “harvest of corn”.
Isaiah 17:1, The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. 2 The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. 3 The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the Lord of hosts. 4 And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean. 5 And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim.
Now this could mean that it happens at the time of the harvest of “corn” or “grain”. We thought it likely to occur in the September and October time frame and things certainly were heating up then and are still hot in December for Syria as we speak. If “corn” is used as a generic term for “grain” this could also happen around the time of the Spring Holy Days (Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and Pentecost).
Either way Gaza is destroyed and so is Lebanon. Syria is quickly going in that direction as well. This could all escalate in serious way to a massive conflagration that includes the destruction of Damascus and the He-Goat (Greece or West-USA post WW2 Empire) taking out the Ram (Persia/Iran) from Daniel 8.
Why do we think this is likely? Turkey right now is not “great” within the context of Daniel 8 let alone having the stature of a world empire. The USA fits this description and is in the position geopolitically and militarily to defeat Iran conclusively.
The USA Empire is also great enough to be broken into four notable horns and still have one of those horns arise as the Fourth Beast of Revelation 13. It rises again having had a great wound and recovers. This wounding could be the recovery of the Ottoman Empire from the wound it received during the last century or it could be the wounding one of its heads via the conflict of Israel with Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan.
Daniel 8 doesn’t say if the Great Horn of the He Goat is broken militarily or politically, or financially. It just says it is broken and four notable horns rise up in its place. Turkey is hardly, by itself, great enough to have 4 horns come up in its place. But the post WW2 Empire of the USA, NATO, British Territories, and the Middle East can easily be broken into 4 and have them all be worth mentioning. But that doesn’t mean Turkey doesn’t have strategic goals that can reveal their future.
Many prophecy teachers think Turkey is the He-Goat…or that this happened thousands of years ago and that it is Alexander the Great. The problem with this theory is that the Angel tells Daniel this prophecy is for “the End”.
Daniel 8:17, So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.
Notice the critical point that Daniel was confused about that the angel had to clear up for him was the timing…”for the end”. Not knowing this fact was blocking Daniel from understanding the prophecies’ fulfillment. It is also what is keeping prophecy teachers from understanding what is taking place right now.
