The goal as always is truth…not feeling…not intentions…Truth! Many don’t realize that the final 7-year Tribulation (Daniel’s 70th Week) is all about rewarding those who seek the truth and punishing those who do not. This belief was the same goal as the original apostles. 

3 John 1:3, For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.

If what we believe will happen in the end is out of step with the Holy Bible…do not anticipate big rewards.

2 Thessalonians 2: And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Let’s briefly review some statements that prophecy teachers say, but are out of step with the scriptures. Don’t believe me. Check what they say and analyze whether their proofs are scriptural. The price of not doing so is going to be high.

Common Incorrect Prophecy Statements that are Unscriptural and Illogical:

· “The Wrath of God is 7 years long.” 

Many Pre-Tribulation Rapture teachers use this statement to bolster their argument that the Rapture/Resurrection of believers happens before the 7-year tribulation because believers are “not appointed to wrath” (1 Thessalonians 5:9). They often say the Wrath of the Lamb and God is the full 7 years. But is that what the Bible says? Surprisingly the Book of Revelation gives a very technical answer of what the “Wrath of God” is and how long it lasts.

Revelation 15:1, And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

Take careful notice. John is very clear that no matter how many plagues happen during Daniel’s 70th week, ONLY the “seven last” plagues are the “wrath of God”. So, no matter how many plagues come before those 7 last plagues…those that precede the “seven last” plagues are NOT the “Wrath of God” as defined by scripture. Pre-Tribulationist Rapture believers…may start discussing amongst themselves as they may be triggered by now. Remember this is not about how we feel, but about what is scripturally true.

· “The 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse.”

This is a common and probably the most frequently used statement of all Christians. Surprise…it is nowhere in the bible. Oh…there are 4 horses…and there is an apocalypse, there is just no clear scriptural statement that these 4 horses appear during Daniel’s 70th week. How do we know this? Simple logic. The 5th seal depicts the martyrs under the altar of God and they are complaining non-stop about one thing…God is taking too long to start judging. Has Daniel’s 70th week even started by the 5th seal?

Revelation 6:9, And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Several things should jump out at you. This is not a mild complaint…. its “loud” and emotional. Secondly, they have been waiting a long time. How long? Long enough to use a prophetic symbol of a horse riding a really long distance. Say…two thousand years for the first 4 seals. Is this scripturally possible? Also, the explicit complaint of the martyrs is that God has NOT judged yet.

John describes that the Martyrs have been waiting a really long time and need to wait more for a set apart time period of a “little season” of more martyrdom and after this “little season” then those on the earth will receive the wrath of God. This “little season” is likely Daniel’s 70th Week…otherwise known as “Jabob’s Trouble” (Jeremaiah 30:7).

If the “Wrath of God” had started at the first seal, they would have an easy count of 42 months of the Beast waging war on the saints and the 2 Witnesses prophecy and another 1260 days of Israel in exile in the wilderness when they flee Jerusalem (when the Antichrist takes over the temple mid-tribulation) till the end of Daniel’s 70th week. 

Apparently the “Wrath of God” did NOT start at the First Seal (the White Horse) or the martyrs would be doing a countdown and not complaining. But according to the Pre-Tribulationist Rapture Teachers they would already be resurrected and the Wrath of God would already be occurring. So why complain then?

Remember Jesus describes half of the 10 Bridesmaids stumble into Daniel’s 70th week unprepared. Now I’ve heard lots of teachers say what the oil these Bridesmaids have in their lamps… or should have in their lamps. All I can tell you what they should have in their lamps…half of them do not have. 

They are all waiting for Jesus and all want to enter into the door where He is. They have “claimed the name” as so many preachers tell you is all you have to do. “Come as you are brother…”. They don’t tell them to get the oil from Jesus when he arrives but to go labor to get it. He expected them to work for it and do it themselves…just like the harsh taskmaster from the Parable of the Talents.

Is claiming the name and doing nothing scripturally enough? Is your lamp filled with truth? Do you have truth to share. Not your truth…and not your version of truth. I’m talking scriptural actual truth. Half of those waiting don’t have enough truth to be saved. 

No matter how you slice it. They are told to go and get more as soon as you can, but because they didn’t value the truth they waited too long. It is the same with the parable of the talents. Again, all kinds of teachers say what these talents are and are not. At the end of the day the “talents” are revealed truth. What did you do with the truth you were given. Did you make more truth with it and share it or did you sit in the pew and bury it in the ground? 

Is “your truth” scriptural? GOT REAL TRUTH? If your truth conflicts with the Holy Bible…you might have a problem.

Notice in the Parable of the Talents the one talent is taken away from the one who buried it in the ground and it is given to the one who has 10 talents. Why didn’t the master act more “equity affirming” and give it to the one with two talents? You know…spread the love. 

Because that isn’t how truth works. He who has more truth will get more truth. Those with less truth will get less truth. The earnings of truth are exponential. Does that hurt your feelings? God doesn’t care. He is all about truth. So, for all those who want to just claim the name and not do anything. You will get your appropriate reward.

Can you really be a Christian and learn a truth and not use it? This is the state of the current world affirming church. Methodists need a wakeup call. Do you?

Is your truth in alignment with the Holy Bible? If not, you might just be an empty vessel. Use some simple logic.
